COMBAT BODY MECHANICS
for military, law enforcement, and civilians
Serving Ventura County, California
Practical Self Defense
THE WARRIOR’S WAY
VCB Dojo’s methods are based on Budo Taijutsu: a battlefield-tested system of combat & self defense from 900+ years into Japan’s history.
Budo Taijutsu translates literally to: Way of the Warrior, Art of Moving the Body. In today’s terms, this equates to Combat Body Mechanics.
movement over techniques
Our philosophy is not to teach students to rely on specific martial arts techniques.
It is to teach a way of movement and ultimately, a way of life. Martial arts is a holistic practice of mind, body, and spirit that includes awareness, mindset, and fitness.
meant for everyone
We teach using principles of leverage, positioning, and biomechanics.
Unlike other martial systems that rely on strength, size, or speed, Budo Taijutsu can be effectively used by all practitioners against assailants of any size.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION:
“Prior to training with Andrew, I had to rely more on higher levels of force to control violent suspects.
Andrew taught me how to gain compliance more rapidly while dealing with aggressive/assaultive uncooperative suspects.
I would highly recommend Andrew’s training to any of my fellow law enforcement professionals.”
—Craig Kelly, a peace officer in the Ventura County area
